It is in part "the record of an American failure, the inability of federal, states, and local law-enforcement officers to end peonage. Gray cloth boards with silver text. Interior clean of any handwriting or bookplates. Spine is tight. There was a price written on the front free end page in pencil but this has since been erased. DJ shows minor shelf wear and a hint of sunning. Corner clipped on front flap.
