Published by Charles Scribner's Sons New York 1917 First US Edition Hardcover Book/DJ Condition: G+ 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 246 pp; Tissue Guarded Frontispiece, olive boards with gilt on spine. Both boards have waterglass rings with soiling present. Front board has fade at the top. End pages are free and clear of any handwriting or bookplates. Foxing present, mainly on end pages. Hinge cracked at FEP. Published post-humously, Kettle fought with the Dublin Fusiliers, he was killed in action on the Somme in 1917.
