Book/DJ Condition: F 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 175 + ads pp; Green cloth boards with gilt art and text. Some spotting on front board. Beautiful art nouveau gilt decoration on the spine and front cover. Noyes is the author of the once much memorized "The Highwayman". His are poems of wonder and beauty. The Japan of the title is a land of imagination. Very minor bumps on corners, overall straight and strong. End pages are free of handwriting or bookplates. Light foxing is present. Some pages are cut 1/4" off on the bottom (printer's error). Most of the book feels like it was never read.
